On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended a screening of the film The Sabarmati Report at the Balyogi Auditorium in the Parliament library building. Accompanying him were several members of his Cabinet, as well as MPs from the ruling alliance.

Veteran actor Jeetendra and actress Raashii Khanna, who plays a pivotal role in the film, shared with reporters that Modi mentioned this was the first movie he had watched since assuming office as prime minister.

Union ministers Amit Shah, Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, and BJP ally Jitan Ram Manjhi were among the key dignitaries present at the screening. The movie delves into the events surrounding the tragic fire on the Sabarmati Express in Godhra on February 27, 2002, which claimed the lives of 59 devotees returning from Ayodhya after a religious ceremony. The film aims to shed light on the incident and uncover the truths behind it.
